·         Exceptional service.  O.C.C. Therapy strives to provide timely, supportive, clinically reasoned support to our families and collaborators.  O.C.C. Therapy prides itself on the integrity and professional approach of all staff, and the passion with which they work. 

·         Enable children to reach their potential.  Engaging children in fun, meaningful activities to enhance their developmental outcomes is the primary focus of O.C.C. Therapy.  Enabling children to reach their developmental potential and enjoy the journey is paramount. 

·         Support and empower families.  Recognising the family as the cornerstone of the child’s development, and understanding how best to support the family within their daily life is integral to our practice.  O.C.C. Therapy endeavours to empower families with the knowledge and understanding to continue the developmental journey. 

·         Contextual.  O.C.C. Therapy recognises the value of therapy in context in providing the most appropriate intervention for each individual child.  O.C.C. Therapy is predominantly mobile in nature, offering services within homes and educational settings. 

·         Planning. Liaising with and supporting others in the child’s environment is necessary to build understanding and facilitate optimal outcomes.  O.C.C. Therapy focuses on forward planning to support families and children through transition periods and expected new challenges. 

·         Support and development of the professions.  O.C.C. Therapy engages in clinically relevant research within the clinic, the development of evidence based resources and the development of future therapy practitioners. 

Fees

• Bulk billing available (Medicare) with a referral through certain plans. Please click here for further information.
• OCC Therapy is able to offer services through FahCSIA (Helping Children with Autism) and through brokerage with external organisations
• Some private health funds cover occupational therapy services. Speak to your provider for further details.
• You will be given an invoice each session. Your timely payment is appreciated.
• Please contact me as soon as possible should you wish to cancel an appointment. Appointments not cancelled before 8am on the day will attract a 25% cancellation fee, however the session will not be charged.

FAQs

• Referrals accepted from both parents and teachers. Children will only be seen with permission from the parents or guardians of the child.
• Reports will be available within a fortnight of the assessment. They will be posted to you, and a copy provided to those you have given permission for us to liaise with. A follow up telephone call or meeting is recommended.
• Intervention may not be necessary following an assessment. You may cease therapy at any stage.
