Melissa Dwyer

BOccThy (Hons)

Melissa loves the variety and creativity Paediatric OT offers and the opportunity to work alongside children and their families to achieve goals. Melissa recognises that every child has a unique personality and strengths and enjoys taking the time to get to know them and how she can best help. Through experience she has also found that Paediatric OT always brings new learning and challenges and she enjoys new opportunities to grow as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist.

Melissa has previously worked with children and adults in the NDIS and has completed an Honours project investigating the impact of touch screen technology on children’s fine motor skills. Through this she has developed her passion for working with children and being creative with therapy. Melissa’s main interest areas include handwriting, fine motor skills, social skills and emotional regulation.
